Some simple fare today. A few shots from my limp around town with Mrs. Ha yesterday.
Never seen this guy before but he seemed popular, turning balloons into all sorts of strange objets d’art. I don’t think he earned much.
Sai Kung can never be accused of lacking colour
Selling the catch, direct from boat to buyer
Cat Nap
The boatyard door and letterbox
An evening view up towards the piers – dragonboats on the water
A rather quiet Miniature Schnauzer – one of Mrs. Ha’s favourite breeds
Just tucked into the wall, a small private shrine. Note the little monkey figure on the right. I need to find out who he is. The central figure is Kuan Yin, Goddess of Mercy. Very popular in HK.
All images taken with a Leica M9
I’m with Alessandro and Mr Gingold – it’s great to see HK through your eyes. I’ve never been there but your pictures give me an idea of what it is like. Maybe you could plant a little Winnie the Poo or Tigger by one of the shrines?
Mr Saucisson avec les balloons and Heavy metal are my favourites!
Excellent series! Love the napping kitty!
Love the cat and dog, of course. I think the monkey figure is probably a refugee from the Wicked Witch’s army who sought enlightenment in the East. 🙂

I really appreciate the world tour we get in your posts, Andrew.
Looking at these pictures i realize that – skyscrapers apart – i had no idea at all of what the real Hong Kong looks like. I thoroughly enjoy browsing these streeets through your photography.
Very enjoyable trip around town. I, of course liked the cat whose back bone seemed to be protruding. He probably lives a hard life. My favorite pic is of the very slim, long boats in the harbor. I reckon they have a name The dog pic is also good.
