Shocked Starling

The birds here are so boring I’ve decided to liven them up a bit. I went out yesterday and rigged up a wire along their favourite perch. The idea is that when they land, they get a small jolt from a car battery. It works a treat and makes the photos more interesting don’t you think.

  1. That was a shocking revelation, Andrew. A jolt of disbelief made my spine tingle. Thank goodness your last statement damped the charge that caused my confusion. πŸ™‚

  2. I wrote a post a while back about an excruciating experience I had with a battery operated device. Great volts of fire – these birds were lured by the same false hopes as I πŸ˜‰

  3. Ah yes. The ever clever Andrew. Excellent idea to enliven readers and have them believe the unbelievable. But only if someone only partially read the post. I was shocked. Not really. πŸ™‚

  4. Honestly, I’ve never believed that all those birds would pose so perfectly for you, Andrew…
    πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰ he he …

This is the bird version of Marilyn… truly! Do you remember “my” Marilyn from Kenya? They must be siblings…

  5. I had a lol moment reading this post, especially when I looked back at the images. Like the shot of the ruffling of feathers, really does seem that it has been shocked.

I'd be delighted to hear what you think
