But, Andrew. Think of the challenge and the sense of accomplishment at the unraveling….or OTOH, think of your own unraveling at the endless collection of knots. π
Looks a bit like a Jackson Pollack influenced sailor got drunk. π
I like this new project. I can’t imagine the purpose of all the jumbled and knotted martial in this boat. I know a sailor never cuts or throws away rope – but this is worse than my mum’s kitchen drawer!
Hah! The marine version of trying to unravel Christmas Tree lights.
Indeed. With the same degree of success.
It’s a Jackson Pollock!
Only a madman would.
Are you making a jigsaw, then …? π
Sailor’s crochet perhaps. Not a jigsaw.
A jumbled mess for sure. The knot of all knots., And the sailors said, “if we can not untie the knots we’re in deep water or something like that.
My father was in the Navy, Yvonne. I think he would have tackled this ok.
My first reaction was that your photo had an uncanny resemblance to one of my junk drawers π
Great minds, Joanne. Thank you.

Pollock!!!!!
Don’t be rude. It’s true.
It would drive me potty, Steve. I’d frame it as a Pollock and use the proceeds to buy new rope.

It is a bit like my study desk though, Rod.
Che caos di nodi π
Do you serve ropes? And the waiter said “I’m a frayed knot!”
Knots are fun. Had to learn a bunch to be an arborist. Need to know how to use them to climb.
My first thought was boats…. it’s a spoon!
Interesting contrast.
