Salamanca roofscape October 30, 2014Andrew 9 Comments I adored the stone and colours of the buildings in Salamanca. The roof tops were no less impressive with the rich brick-orange tiles. This image reminded me of the beauty of the old with the stark new as a backdrop. Share this:FacebookEmailPinterestTwitterLike this:Like Loading... Related

Immensely pleasing and satisfying.
Thank you Hilary.
such scale! Good commentary on the picture too.
The architecture is stunning!
I used to like taking shots of rooftops, too ! 🙂
This is certainly telling …
Old architecture is so enjoyable and impressive. The skills and sheer amount of labor put into those buildings is beyond the scope of most if not all of modern work. Stone cutting, tile making, repetition of from and pattern. It’s not likely we will see much of this sort any longer being constructed. Nice view, Andrew.
Thanks Steve. I’m sure there are some great stonemasons around but they are restoring, I suspect, not creating. More is the pity.
Bella panoramica sugli edifici.
