An incredibly busy day today – some enjoyable, some routine, some a drag but all tiring. So I went back into the archives and offer you a landscape today.
No prizes but any guesses where this was take. Clue – it is not Venice.
We have the mountains in Colorado, but not wide bodies of water near them. This does remind me of views of several island communities off of Washington State. But wherever this picture is, I love the moody skies.
I was going to guess Fish-head Beach at low tide, but I see that it’s a far more attractive locale after all.
Please post some photos of Fish Head Beach for comparison, Steve. We want to know.
I had no idea there actually is such a place, but it’s even less humorous than my failed attempt at funny. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_Jenner,_California_double-murder
Its the Russians again, Steve. Where is ronnie reagan when you need him?
Dismal Swamp!? 🙂
Close 😉
Tierra del fuego?
I’ll give you that, Geoff, as its right!
Wow, it was my second attempt though.
Great photograph.
Tasmania?
Nooo Gerard.
Not a clue ! – but it’s powerful and wonderful.
Thanks M-R.
I remember seeing this before, surely it’s close to home, just very early in the morning.
Not posted before, Hilary. A LONG way from home.

Thank you Marylin. I was thinking of cropping from the top to make a panorama.
Falkland Islands?
Not this one, Geoff.
Antarctica? It was so cold and windy this morning that I felt I was there!
