From the sublime to the, well not ridiculous but perhaps rather smaller sublime. No eagles today. I took these yesterday in between eagle-ing. When I looked at them I rather liked the light and the background bokeh. A common bird but uncommonly attractive. The Red-whiskered Bulbul in all its finery.
Does my bum look big in this? I shall huff and puff and blow your house down…….
That’s if its alright with you……
What is that thing on my head – makes me look like Donald Trump
Small but big personality, he is a total charmer.
I agree. Much under rated, the bulbul family. Far better than the Partridge Family.
How can you leave the Bulbuls behind?
These are very nice with super Bokeh, Andrew. I kind of hate to say/write Bokeh as it is often misused. But not so here.
Brill Bulbul bokeh ! – I can never line up my backgrounds !
But you are king of the buntings, Mr. H. I’m just pining for a Pine Bunting.
Wonderful captures!
That sure is a a “huffy” looking fella there. A problem with Mrs Bulbul maybe.
That’s a pretty bird!
You made me remember my aunt singing about Abdul the Bulbul. I never could get the words, but now, through the wonders of YouTube … I know what it was all about!
Lovely shots of a rather confident looking little bird.
There is a Mr Andrew Bulbul who lives in Dhaka. It is not a common surname. There must be other Bul buls.A bul bul here and a bul bul there, a bully bul, a bully bul and bulbul everywhere.
Not forgetting Abdul the Bulbul?
Amazing! Not common for me… This is my first sighting! Thank you for sharing!:)
Wow, now that is a bulbul with a difference. Nice shots.
I’d forgotten all about bulbuls, Andrew ! – they are as lovely as your photos show !!!
Thank you very much !
