I love the contrast of the clean lines of the Roman-esque style with the decorated Romanesque, and I love any artwork based on spheres. Congrats to Mrs Ha for such a pleasing pair.
During my college trip to Europe, Italy was was “stop here and stay” favorite, and Venice stole my heart. I wish Mrs. Ha had been my photographer; I had to illustrate some of my essays for a class, and I did a lousy job of illustrating.
Excellent photography.
Domed? Yes, we are all domed in our own way. ๐ Both of these are very good photos. Excellent composition. As I’ve said before, Mrs. Ha has a good eye. I suspect she’d get a nice photo using a pin hole cameras.
Per usual, Mrs. Ha has made two nice images, Andrew. I am sure she will be delighted photographing in the UK.
I am not sure today’s architects are capable of creating such intricate beauty. And I am willing to bet that the number of skilled stonecutters is quite small.
I wonder how many modern buildings have domes built? My brother researched Sikhs in Religious Education in school and made a model of their holy temple a Gurdwara we had great fun making the domes out of salt dough, it worked because it stuck in my memory.

I will pass the message on, Hilary. Thank you.
The second one has to be Salamanca?

I hope you paid a license fee to Mrs Ha.
Good luck with the move.
A six figure sum, Rod. Her rates are very high.
Lol! Nice domes. Mrs. Ha has a good eye.
All the best for your move and safe travels!
Thanks Caroline. I’ve always liked domes ๐
Love the title! ๐
I had to look close at the second dome. .. it kinda looked like it was built with Legos!

As always Sheldon
That’s a neat angle for the photo of San Geremia.
It must have been from a vaporetto, Yvonne.
Unless Mrs Ha lists ‘walking on water’ as one of her skills?? ๐
Well, you both will soon be living in the continent of the domes. Mrs Ha is a good photographer.
