I took Mrs. Ha to Salisbury, where we saw the Magna Carta. To our surprise however the English cricket team were practicing in the square and here are a few shots I took of them:

Here you see a top edge flying past first slips head at a dangerous height and speed.SlipsA little shuffle-dance as second slip drops a dolly.Mr. TwinkletoesAnd here is a vociferous appeal from 3rd slip for a very dubious LBW.OwzatAnother one put downDroppedHere you see the new openers practicing fending off a bouncer.OpenersAnd finally, Short Mid-wicketSillyMidOnAll for charity of course – raising funds for the Offshore Rescue Team and we were very happy to put a fiver in the bucket. Well done the majorettes.

  1. How long do you need to live thereabouts before you get your invitation to join, Andrew? This certainly makes that waistcoat look rather tame, doesn’t it? 🙂

  2. I always thought cricket a bit strange and incomprehensible. There is proof of it now. And to think we had a PM that would insist that refugees from middle eastern countries had to learn about cricket first. !

  3. What an extraordinary sight! Even more extraordinary the facial expressions – fantastic! Thank you for brightening my day.

I'd be delighted to hear what you think
