To my antipodean ear, Dappled Tufty sounds like some little hidden village tucked away somewhere in the Lake District! It’s where Squirrel Nutkin came from!
These two photos are gorgeous and I do mean- gorgeous. The scenery is not ordinary- the tree logs with the sun highlighting the little rodent make these extraordinary- in my eyes.
This squirrel is gorgeous ๐
Ciao, Pat
He sends his warmest regards, Pat.
So lovely… I could even squirrel him away! Best wishes. Aquileana ๐
Thanks very much Aquileana
Squirrel nuts indeed
Why I never
Why should
I scream
Who has time for the water to turn to ice
I never
Thank you Sheldon, I think ๐
Oh Andrew sometimes you just seem so
Serious I just don’t know what to say
So l just try to lighten it up
I think you’ll find his cooperation short lived once he starts digging up your lawn in search of buried nuts…
Oh he’s doing that already.
“Dappled Tufty” – he da man !
Er, squirrel
A beautiful little Grey, his coat looks so nice and shinny. Really great capture.
Thanks Ben. I’ve been almost a year without my gear. Driven to distraction by house renovation. Really good to have my kit out of storage.

It could well be Bruce. I’ll check with Google Maps.

All in the back garden, Yvonne.
Actually, instead of crushed Heath Bar on our double scoop cone, we may be onto something here, Andrew.

If your local parlor doesn’t like the idea, maybe they can hang a print of Dappled Tufty by the flavor menu.
Excellent idea Steve. I shall have to see if they are available here.
I don’t think he’d taste very good in an ice cream cone.
Hazelnut ice cream?
Sure, why not?
And a very photogenic little beast he is, too!
