A few more photographic records from my daily wanderings. Starting with some of Winchester’s venerable watering holes:
And then a rather snazzy shop window (where I have recently bought a shirt or two, though none features a red flower 🙂A rather catchy set of cafe chairsAnd another take on the red doorsDoubtless more to follow
Nice waistcoat and I love those doors. Winchester is a lovely city.
Though I am very much a b&w fan, the tables and chairs you photographed, I find particularly stunning. Beautifully saturated, rich colours, and the framing, perfect. Hope you are well and enjoying your new( or is it old) digs!
We are still in temporary accommodation Barry. We will have a new home next month but lots of renovation ahead.
A fine walkabout if from a day’s jaunt and a nice selection if from a few, Andrew.
As much as I like the bunch, those chairs and your treatment of them is suberb.
The waistcoat, well I have already been silly enough, haven’t I? 🙂 It is quite the eyecatcher.
The chairs are rather fun, aren’t they Steve. Most people just walk past. They are outside the YMCA cafe.
That waistcoat would go well with jeans and flip flops, I reckon.
Gee, those were great photos, Andrew.
The waistcoat is particularly wonderful, Andrew ! 🙂
Already love a great pub photo. The red doors look like the doors of a large cuckoo clock.
Lovely photos, Andrew! How lovely to live amid those beautiful buildings! And what a truly magnificant waistcoat — did you buy it??
Not yet, Paula but I am being ‘encouraged’ by others. I think I shall stay strong.
Well, it’s still a magnificant waistcoat — I hope someone will wear it …
There’s a certain pleasing symmetry about today’s photos. Hope this reflects your mood.
My mood changes depending on the bills, Hilary.
Bellissimi scatti, molto particolare il Portale, suggestivo!!
Ciao, Pat
Thanks Pat. You are very kind.
Did you get a ‘black one ‘ (stout) in any of the pubs Andrew?
I am teetotal, Gerard. I tend to ask for a pot of tea 🙂
I really like getting to see what a citt/town looks like. Seems that the British know how to keep old things and make those building become productive. I wish Americans could learn how to more conserving., The churches are impressive but I like seeing the pubs too.
It is full of history, Yvonne and the city is a big tourist attraction. It also has some of Britain’s best schools so it is a very sought after location.
I love the vest and the way they tied the tie, maybe next time you shop pick me up one those with the tie of course
I’ll see what I can do, Sheldon.
Some quaint pubs and then mixed with more of the modern. Nicely done.
Thanks Marissa
